you can get so confusedanyone else there with me? i know this waiting game will not be forever, but sometimes it can sure feel like it.
that you'll start in to race
down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
and grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,
headed, i fear, toward a most useless place.
the waiting place...
...for people just waiting.
waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a yes or a no
or waiting for their hair to grow.
everyone is just waiting.
waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their uncle jake
or a sting of pearls, or a pain or pants
or a wig with curls, or another chance.
everyone is just waiting. -dr. seuss
dark can give birth to life, suffering can deliver grace, the ugly can be beautiful. God transfigures everything for His glory. ann voskamp
if you have a blog, let me know if you have a list of your grace
gifts so i can visit! if you don't, write something you are thankful
for in the comment section. i love hearing from you!

i didn't go to religion to make me happy. i always knew a bottle of port would do that. if you want a religion to make you feel really comfortable, i certainly don't recommend christianity.you can refer to my post yesterday on why is is definitely not comfortable to be a follower of Jesus.

i would have despaired unless i had believed
that i would see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. psalm 27:13
Your love, o Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the great deep (the ocean). o Lord, you preserve both man and beast. Psalm 36: 5-6
now may You truly grant me a communication of Yourself by Yourself.one of my favorite quotes right now is one that bill shared with me that night by st. john of the cross. in his hunger for the Lord stirred by the wonders of the beauty He created, he said,
may You, then, be both the messenger and the message.if i am so awed by the finite beauty He created, how amazing will it be to encounter the infinite beauty of Him face to face?
how priceless is your unfailing love! both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
they feast on the abundance of Your house; You give them drink from Your river of delights.
for with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. psalm 36:7-9
